My daughter leaves on October 5 and will be going to Pensacola for A school. I'm looking for other moms with daughters that might be her future friends and/or coworkers.

My daughter is leaving for bc Oct 1st.

Deborah Ann, check your My Page.

Hi Deborah Ann. How are you holding up? We take my daughter to the recruiter's office tomorrow and then she will swear in on Monday. She is excited and just wants to rip off the bandaid. I will miss her terribly, but I am so proud of her too.

Deborah Ann my son left for BC on Oct 1st also! Haven't gotten the box yet or the letter... Have you gotten anything yet?

My daughter is leaving on Monday 10/5...she will be attending aircrew after basic .
Does aircrew go to Pensacola for A school?

MommaK, check your My Page.

Yes, after basic they must complete aircrew school in Pensacola at NACS which is about 5 weeks, then they transfer over to the other side of the base to r A school.

Jennie, since your future Sailor has a contract for Aircrew (AIRC), join AIRCREW, Sailors In Pensacola, FL For A School....Corry Station too!!, and Parents of A School Sailors in Pensacola and check out Airman Family and Friends.

Your Sailor will most likely fly out to "A" School the day after PIR, but may fly out on Sunday due to flight availability issues. Plan to leave on Sunday if you are able. See PIR Day and Liberty During PIR Weekend to help you know how to plan your weekend.

Your Sailor will be assigned to a class "A" school for a rating within the AIRC program while in Naval Aircrew Candidate School (NACCS). That assignment will be based on his/her test scores, personal desires, needs of the Navy, and continued eligibility for the aircrew program.

The Rating Information Card for AIRC can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/usn/enlisted/rating_info_cards/aircrew.pdf; the one for Naval Aircrewmen Mechanical (AWF) can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/usn/enlisted/rating_info_cards/awf.pdf; the one for Naval Aircrewmen (Operator) (AWO) can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/usn/enlisted/rating_info_cards/awo.pdf; and the one for Naval Aircrewmen (Avionics) (AWV) can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/usn/enlisted/rating_info_cards/awv.pdf. (If you get the security warning, it is safe to go there.)

Thank you!

You are very welcome

My daughter doesn't leave until October 28. And then she'll be going to Pensacola Florida also.
