For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 023 and 024
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

I'm from San Jose, what about you? I'm also waiting for his letters. I go to the mailbox everyday after work hoping to find something from him. I find comfort in writing to him every night before I go to sleep

We are from Milwaukee. I too...wait for the mailman...but so far no letters. I find comfort in writing letters as well. Just wish I would hear SOMETHING. It's the first time my son is away from home for more than 5 days...so it's been rough.

Happy to hear you're not too far away from the base however distant or not, we all feel the same. Let's keep our fingers crossed that we get something in the mail soon! Or that wonderful phone call we are all waiting for. It eases my mind knowing that my husband isn't alone and that they are taking care of him. Your son is in good hands I'm sure :) Where is your son going to school after?

Yes...I agree! He's going to San Antonio. ..what about your hubby? How old is your husband? Maybe they know eachother?

Oh wow! My husband is going to San Antonio as well! That's awesome, maybe they do know each other. He is 24, how old is your son? That would be great if they knew each other because they can definitely take the journey together

Hopefully they find each other. I'm sure we will stay in contact and go through many similar feelings as they take the journey :)I'm sad but I'm very proud of him

I got a call from my daughter (023) on Wednesday. She said they didn't get to write yet but should this Sunday. Wednesday was Week 1- Day 1 for Div 023. I assume that it would be the same for 024 since they are brother divisions.

Oh okay, my husband left October 1st, maybe he had to wait for a division to fill up. Still no call or anything from him yet :(
