Anyone have a daughter leaving October 13th?  Mine is leaving out of Minneapolis.

I didn't even get up and go to work the day after my daughter left.  I couldn't have!  I went today though and it was okay.  I only cried 5 or 6 times, which is a lot less then yesterday when I cried most of the day.  I am so anxious to get her box and have some of her stuff to hold and smell (is that ridiculous?).

mesonJ, I hope you sleep better tonight!

Thanks Navymom65, I am doing a little better. Thoughts of my SR interrupt my day, everyday! Thank goodness my job doesn't require major decisions. However, life at home is hard at times. I am telling everybody, "I am in the Navy-zone" that tells them to leave me alone for a bit.

My SR arrived 10-14. Thankfully I was able to take today off. I hope that you rest better tonight. Everyone says it will get better. I guess for now it's just a step at a time. No worries though, we are not alone.

Yes, My son left OKC on the 13th. I got my call at 1am. Today the recruiter gave me the mailing address for my son. He's ship 14 div 036. Have you heard anything yet?

My daughter left the 13th as well. It's been a rough few days worrying about her and missing her.

Got my daughter's box today!!! :)  She put a journal in the box she had been writing in.  It had a note to her dad and I on one of the pages.  It was so sweet she told me to continue to write in it and go ahead and read what she had wrote.  Love that girl so so much!

What a lovely surprise!

Thats AWESOME!

That's the difference between sons and daughters. So sweet those girls are. Boys are always so tough. Wouldn't have it any other way. I can't wait to hear from my son. I miss him so much. But I'm able to hold it together. God bless our sailors ans bless each other.
Today has been the worst so far. I can't hold back the tears. My heart aches so bad. I'm ready for things to get easier.

Sorry to hear you're having a rough day NCNavymom.  I understand though I have been crying off and on today too.  Did you get the box yet?  That helped some but I think the letter will be even better to get.

I figure when I'm home with nothing to do, if I want to spend the day crying, I am going to do just that.  I hope it will get easier as time passes.  One good thing...We have one Friday down!

I haven't received anything other then the call Wednesday night.

Upside...I was wearing my pink Navy hat at the football field today (my youngest cheers) a man came up and asked if I knew someone in the Navy. When I told him my son left Wednesday for boot camp he thanked me for raising such a good citizen and asked me to thank my son for his service. Such a proud moment.
