Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 023 and 024

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My son is in the same Div. Where is your daughter headed for A school? It's so nice to see a few others in the same Div. I was beginning to think someone captured my son. Still haven't heard a thing...no phone calls...no letters. I'm just hoping he's received all of mine! I just wish I would hear "something! !" Although, I'm told " no news is good news!!"
She'll be staying in GL for A school. How about your son? I was fortunate enough to get a 1minute phone call only because the records vault needed her USNSCC records faxed. But I got to hear her voice, even if it was just for a second :) still waiting for a regular phone call and no letters here, either. Checking every day! :)
My son is going to San Antonio for A school. Oh man...I wish I'd get even a minute call. We're you able to talk about anything else?
San Antonio, I wish she was going somewhere closer to home. Is that anywhere near you? We're from CA, she's going to be so far away for so long. No, didn't get to talk about anything else, I did sneak in "Are you ok?", otherwise it was a very quick, here's the fax #, please hurry and send, call. I've been an emotional mess, so it did help to hear that she sounded "normal". Not sad, depressed, etc. I wish you'd gotten a call, too. This is so hard.
From what I understand the girls from both divisions are in the same sleeping quarters, so maybe our daughters know each other by now. Where does yours go to A school?
Maybe they do! Do you have any idea how many females are in the division? She'll be staying in GL for her A school. Yours?
No idea how many females there are... Mine goes to Pensacola for A school.
I believe 80 from what our letter said. The 023/024 are housed together.
Hi my son is in division 024.....anyone else????
Has anyone in this group gotten letters or phone calls? I don't hear much from this ship. I haven't heard anything from my kiddo...hoping everything is going ok. I feel nervous....just want to hear something from him...or anyone in his division. This momma is nervous.

We got our I"m here call on the first day, we have rec'd the form letter from him regarding PIR but we haven't gotten 'personal' mail yet.  I can't wait.  We write to him all the time!  : )

Hang in there.

My husband is division 24! I can't wait for his phone call! Does anyone know when they usually make their calls?
