Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 019 and 020
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

Thanks for sharing. Everyone is saying that 020 has a cold. That is no good. Poor recruits.
36 days! Just 36 more days.
Did anyone get a letter today from their SR?
I am at work and I am so hoping there is a letter in the mailbox at home.
I did get the Navy Federal Credit Union letter. But that was not too much fun. LOL
SO hoping for a phone call this weekend..
Not yet. :( Keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow! Anyone else?
YES!
I have not gotten a call or a letter and am hoping to hear something soon. I hope all is going well with them, seems like its been forever and I can't sleep and rush home every day to check the mail and still nothing. This is very hard and driving me crazy.
Anyone figure out what they are going to do for thanksgiving dinner. I have been looking at opentable.com and there are some great options but I haven't picked a place yet. I was hoping to find out if anyone knew of a good place. Any ideals of any fun things that are not outside the 50 miles?
Got 2 letters yesterday from my SR (Div 020)! She said that she's sad all of the time & incredibly homesick. :( She also said that they've been doing a lot of IT & she hates it. Did everyone's SRs have their wisdom teeth pulled on the 21st? That's when my SR's was scheduled. On the plus side, she said that her Chief said that she has good posture, so she's Stick One!
Another question for anyone that received the Navy Fed. bank statements for their SR: Has your SR gotten paid yet? Mine hasn't according to her statement, so was just wondering if she needs to find out what's going on with her pay or if it's common for them to not have gotten their first check yet.
It takes about three weeks before your SR's will be paid. So, three weeks and then it should be the next pay period, which pay periods are the 1st and the 15th.
Their first pay check will be shocking, as all of their expenses are deducted, including uniforms. Don't panic, they do receive a uniform allowance while in A School, it will cover the initial expense.
i am hoping they didn't just set up DD for everyone thru Navy Fed, especially if they brought their own DD forms from their own bank, My SR has a car payment and insurance I have covered this month but until we figure out what to do , I have to keep the payments current.
I got a letter yesterday, as did her grandmother and my daughter and son, Her boyfriend let me know he got 3 letters.....know who she is missing the most huh? She said she is depressed, hasn't gotten any letters yet even though we sent out a bunch starting the day we got the form letter, she says 020 doesn't shut up and they have gotten "dropped" at least 15 times. She has not had her wisdom teeth out but needs a root canal and has not had it done yet. they lost a bunch of girls due to swim test (got put in another div) and she said living with 90 girls is hard, lots of attitudes . She can't wait to see us for Grad, and BTW I think we are going to Cracker Barrel for Thanksgiving dinner, they have a nice home cooked menu....
