My son left for BC yesterday Oct 13, 2015 from OKC. Just checking with others to see if our kiddos are there together and if we can keep in touch. Candace

Check your My Page.

Any of you with SR's that left 10/13 heard from your kiddos yet? I haven't. I figure it's too early but wanted to check anyway. I've seen where Ship 14 div 33 is having PIR 12/4, my SR is supposed to be Ship 14 Div 036 according to recruiter. Figure his PIR will be 12/11. Any confirmation on this???

Hope every one is doing good, of course missing our SR's but making it through

I just received my son's box and got the form letter!  He's Ship 14 Div 036 so he should be there with your son!  According to the form letter the PIR is set for 12/11/15.  Small world...

I've let ellen and FTLW know that form letters have been received for the 12/11/2015 PIR date. Keep checking PIR 12/11/2015 TG 05 and join when it is up.

TiffG, Check your My Page.

My son left Ohio 10/13 as well. Got my call that night and my "kid in a box" 10/16 & form letter yesterday. His PIR is 12/11. I plan to make the trip to "adopt" him on Thanksgiving. Anybody else going for Thanksgiving?

Sonia B., Be sure to fax the form back when you get it so that yo can adopt him for Thanksgiving.

I left info for you on your My Page.

How do you adopt a child for Thanksgiving?  I will not be able to go but wanted my son to be adopted.

If you are unable to attend and your recruit is eligible for the Thanksgiving Adopt a Sailor program, then he will be adopted either by another family that is able to go or by one of the organizations in the area.
