Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 011 and 012

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My daughter is in the same division
Just got a phone call ladies!!! I hope you all did too.

I got a from my son this morning at 8am (Ship 03, Div 011) I got to talk to him for 30 minutes, he wanted to use the last 10 min of his time to call his brother. I guess he won a bet with his commanding officer. It was all or nothing double bet. He had to recite everything in a 40 point inspection and got 20 min. Then the officer said "all or nothing can you pass the 40 point inspection" and he did so he got 40 minutes of phone time. He's having a blast. Said bootcamp is alot of fun. The physical part is really easy, he said football practice was alot harder physically than bootcamp lol. He said they get to shoot next week. Monday they get shooting practice with lasers (no bullets LOL) and then on Tuesday they will get bullets, they may be rubber bullets at first, he was not sure. They get to shoot a 9mm and a 12 gauge shotgun. Its kind of disappointing for him because he's used to alot high caliber. He said the food is okay, its not bad, but its not very healthy. He was expecting alot healthier food. In all he's having fun, still does not like the underwear and he was really upset that they charged him $700 for his ditty bag. He said a pair of New Balance shoes was $89.

My Recruit is heading to Goose Creek for Nuke school. There are 2 nukes in Div 011 (he is one of them) and 2 nukes in Div 012. Any other nuke moms in here besides me?

Happy Sunday everyone! I just found this group today and thought it would be nice to connect as well. My SR is in Div 12 and is staying in Great Lakes for A school. Wow, just saw that there are 26 days until graduation. I CAN.NOT.WAIT!

I am curious, are there any mom's on here that will not be able to travel to PIR? I'd love to connect with a 'sailor' whose family is not able to join them and maybe adopt a new sailor for family dinner on Friday.

My daughter is ship 3 Division 12. Welcome :) Our family will be at PIR
Found this last night on Facebook and my SR is in it so I am hoping yours is......

Is your SR 011 or 012?

ally684 if you asking me my SR is in 11

Yes, I was trying to figure out if my boyfriend was in that picture!  I can't recognize him with a stocking cap...I wonder if that's the whole division?  He's in 011 too!

I don't know if that was the entire division. There was another photo of them sitting and filling out papers. They didn't have their hats on in that one so maybe you could spot him.

Thanks!

Where are you guys from?
