Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 041 and 042

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

41 - So my son is in this division. I have gotten the box and the PIR form letter, but haven't heard anything else. does anyone else have an SR in 41?

My son is also in this division. I am  in the same boat as you.  It is very encouraging to hear the other members phone calls.  I  have been a wreck waiting on a phone call checking the mailbox etc. I have not been able to sleep afraid I will miss the call.  My son's form letter had a return address of DIV 042 OR  041. The actual address in the letter said 042  and that is the same one the recruiter gave me.  Hopefully we will hear something soon.

I think your son is in my son's brother division, your in good company because Fab5mom's son is also there. She got a phone call earlier this week and I was really happy for her. I haven't heard anything since the PIR form letter. I know my son is a sleeper so I imagine he goes straight to bed at night. Maybe I'll get a letter this week. I am from Kansas, where are you from?

I just got my call!!!  He is doing great!  He is really enjoying himself!  I feel soooo much better.  The call was only about 3 minutes, it felt like an hour.  Hearing his voice was awesome, so calm and he sounds different in a good way!

Who is next to get the call?  I am ready to celebrate with all of you!

I got my phone call! I am bouncing off the walls right now with joy! He is doing so well. No one in his division is sick, or at least none that he knows of. He sleeps with the 42 division since 41 is an integrated division so our SRs may know each other. That would be neat. He and his first roommate were doing so well, they were promoted to section leaders. I am so proud of him. The phone worked really well and I didn't have trouble hearing him. Woohoo. He also said he couldn't send out the letters he had written until today so that will help me time the post office system. Wow, I am so happy!!

This is soooo awesome!  I am so excited for them!  My son did not say much we only stayed on for about 3 minutes.  He just sounded well and happy!

Good evening ladies, this is an awesome night, we all got phone calls!!!!! I am so excited and happy we all heard!!!! He tried 3 times, my 6 year old and I were in tears that all we could hear was a buzzing sound 3xs!! He must be homesick because he tried 5 minutes later on another number. Karen, did your son change beds, I think mine is a section leader too and he said his bunk was switched, would that be funny if they are bunk mates!!!

I am so glad for us all too! It is so great to hear from them. I am glad they are all doing well.

He did have to switch beds, but he is bunking with a guy in his section - I think that is what I understood. My son was on phone 48 and we had a crystal clear connection. You would think they would fix those phones on a regular basis.

He says he's gained 8 pounds but lowered his BMI, I am barely going to recognize him in 6 weeks. :-)

So I am hoping to receive letters any day from my SR. He told me he sent some during our phone call. Has anyone else received mail yet?
My mail didn't come yet today, but my mom got a letter so I will be chasing down my mailman! !!! Good luck ladies I hope we all get letters today! !!

oops

Hello everyone my daughter is with Ship 12 division 41. I haven't heard from her since November 1. No calls or letters. My family and I have written many letters, but no response. Has any one in this division heard from their SR? I'm concerned that she could be sad if she can't call and hasn't received letters.
