down to counting days until my son leaves for BC vs. the months & weeks! Keeping very busy preparing his favorite foods & desserts, planning the party before he ships out. Just waiting for it to all hit! Happy, excited, proud!! My son will be in the Nuke program. Any other moms with kids leaving that week?

Hi Amyd I feel you! Today is so far the worst for me. It's so quiet in the house with out my sons laughter echoing through. Last year at this time he was away at college but I could call or text if I wanted, I knew he'd be home for the holidays, now I to wonder what they are doing and hoping it's all good, which I'm sure it is. That is so cool that your son was sworn in where your dad was. I'm in Southern California so Chicago weather isn't my cup of tea but we lived in NW Pennsylvania for 6 years, I know what to expect and have been to the windy city a few times for work. Hope mother nature will be kind to us! Hang in there PIR will be here soon :)
Amyd, I left info for you on your My Page.
Leanna, PIR is most likely the 31st, but yes, the 8th is possible for those arriving at the end of the week as yours did. It all depends how the divisions filled. You have to wait on The Form Letter to know the PIR date for sure. Arrival and What Happens at the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will let you know what is happening and what to expect.
Boms_wife I'm California & haven't received the box yet. If it comes USPS we get delivery a little later in the day. I can't wait for the letter. I'll feel better when I have a date to count down to! I don't understand the P days myself even after reading about them, I hope to figure it out if my son dates a letter with where he is! Good luck to your husband :)
