So many emotions!  This website is helping a lot!

Mine will also be leaving on 11/09/15. I have learned so much already about what to expect from this site, but still not sure I'll be ready when the time comes.

my son is leaving nov 9th to is your going to great lakes area

I thought my son was leaving on the 10th, but it is the 9th too.  All Navy boot camps are now in Great Lakes to my knowledge.  My son is leaving out of Florida.  How about yours?

My son will be in this group as well.  He is leaving the morning of November 10th from St. Louis.

My son will also be leaving 11/9. He will be leaving from Salt Lake City but we live in CO

Birdie, check your My Page.

Good luck tomorrow!!! My son leaves on the 17th and we are cherishing each of these last days. I hope all of you have a wonderful last day together before bc with your son or daughter and I pray for your unwavering peace and strength as you let them go. I am right behind you and I know this will be one of the hardest things I've ever done. (((Hugs)))

My son is leaving tomorrow, also.  Technically today, I suppose.  I took him to his recruiter's office at 10:00 this morning so she could drive him to the hotel near the MEPS. He has a bright and early wake up call for swearing in and ride to the airport.  No flight info, yet.  I have been a mess all day.  I thought I would be okay because I already took my oldest son out of state to college three years ago.  But this was different, and harder.  My oldest son is still in college, etc. This seems much more final.  Had to cancel all his memberships, satellite, Netflix, etc., It really seems like he just grew up all at once this morning!  He didn't sleep much last night because he was so nervous, so while we texted quite a bit today, he has stopped.  I am assuming he is asleep but now I miss him even more :)

It worked out well because my business has a second office near the hotel he is at, so he walked over and had a late lunch/early dinner with my business partner.  That made me feel better.  I have a feeling this is just going to be a series of things that make me feel better and things that make me feel worse.
