Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Shortly after I made the post saying no box, Fed Ex rang the doorbell and I got his box. Usually I am not home, but I'm glad that I was today because I had to sign for it. If you are still waiting on the box, I suggest putting a signed note on your door asking the Fed Ex guy to leave it if you cant be there. Now, on to waiting for the form letter :-}

I used to be a Navy wife (he is retired now), and now I'm a new Navy mom and I know how difficult it can be to wait for stuff (letters, calls, boxes, etc.). The first couple of weeks during separation can seem endless, but it does get better!!! They miss us too, but they are kept very busy and once routines are established time goes by faster. Joining a group and talking to others when you start to worry and miss them is a Great thing! As a new Navy wife/parent/loved one you are now part of a community that is full of support for the Navy family!

Thank you for your reply. I am slowly getting used to not having my husband at home. Finding this site has been very helpful and knowing others are just as anxious as I am is comforting. I have already written my husband 3 letters even though I don't have his address yet. Hopefully he'll appreciate all the letters when he finally gets them.

He will appreciate them. I'm not sure if this will apply, but just in case, I always number the letters so that he will read them in order just in case he gets a more than one at a time. Most likely that will only happen if he is deployed on a ship or something like that, but you never know.

My husband left on 11/4. FedEx tried to deliver the box today but I wasn't home. I am in NC. No letter yet.

My daughter also left on 11/4. I received her box of clothing today. It was hard and sad to open the box. I know she's in good hands and I look forward to the letter with some dates in it.

I'm so excited hearing boxes are arriving. My husband is home this week so hopefully it arrives while he's there! So great to have this forum to communicate with others going through this experience!
