down to counting days until my son leaves for BC vs. the months & weeks! Keeping very busy preparing his favorite foods & desserts, planning the party before he ships out. Just waiting for it to all hit! Happy, excited, proud!! My son will be in the Nuke program. Any other moms with kids leaving that week?

My son also has a Birthday during that time as well and he will surely be missed then and during the holidays.
Awww. How old will your son be? I live pretty close to GLs. I told my son I was going to drive by there on his bday with my car all decorated. I think he's probably worried that I may actually do it. ;)

My DS will turn 19 on 12/2 and this will be the first Birthday without me, but welcome to adulthood! I (as I sob into my Mom pillow wink wink) won't ever let him know just how much I miss him because I know that the Navy will turn him into a man :-)
We were pregnant at the same time! My son was born on 12/2 and will be turning 19
My son leaves the 4th. so hard
My son flies out of Jacksonville on Nov. 5th. Where is the best list of items they can take to boot camp? I seen some various lists that aren't quite the same.
Thanks!
Donica I'm not the best on where to find a good list. I'm still trying to learn this site, so much information!! Mine isn't taking anything with him but his phone, wallet & the cloths on his back so everything will come back in the "the box" except his wallet.
Donica and Beachmom, Things to Do in the Last Month before Your Future Sailor Leaves for... has the info you need.
Thanks lemonelephant I knew I read it some where but thankfully didn't need it :)
Do go over the info in Things to Do in the Last Month before Your Future Sailor Leaves for... with your future Sailor, especially who he will list on the Access List and how to handle any bad news.
