Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Has anyone whose SR arrived at Great Lakes on Tuesday 11/10 received their letter yet? And if yes, what graduation date did it indicate? Thanks!

I received the box Monday, when others started receiving Friday. No letter yet. But even though I live fairly close to a major city, I am serviced by a small, rural post office. That usually adds a day. I am hoping to get the letter tomorrow. Recruiter gave me a ship, division, address, and PIR date but I am waiting for the official letter. Per recruiter, Div 058 and PIR 01/08/16.

My daughter shipped on 11/10 as well, received box on the 13th. It's now the 21st and still no letter, trying to be patient. But good to hear PIR has been the same for others that went out on the 10th. Hopefully it will be ours as well.

Trish, I believe some of the recruits that arrived last Monday have a PIR date of 12/31/15...just thought you should know

Not necessarily just waiting on the last divisions for 01/08. My son is in Div. 56 and I am still waiting on my letter. Just got his box 11/16/15.

I stand corrected! My letter did arrive on Saturday...the stinker sent it to my work address for some reason :) And he addressed the letter with a funny salutation that we usually make fun of people for using, so it cracked me up. There wasn't any personal message, but at least I know his sense of humor is still intact.
It confirms what the recruiter told me: Ship 11, Div 58, PIR 01/08/16.
