Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 047 and 048

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My son said they were able to write and send letters but I'm not expecting them to arrive until tomorrow.. Last time it took 4 days...
No letter in today's mail, can't believe it's taking so long, last week was Friday but the holiday was in there, sure hope it arrives tomorrow. Could have used it today, guess I'll re read last weeks and count my blessings!!

We got a letter today! My son addressed it to my husband, which made him feel special. :) He says they're still getting yelled at alot, but he's doing fine. He likes the food. They had ribs the other day the were "spectacular". :)

bdmom64 that's wonderful!  So nice of your son to address it to dad.  I hope ours arrives tomorrow.  I'm sure they're not getting yelled at any more than the other divisions, it's all part of the process I suppose :)

Received letters from my husband today. Div 47 is still experiencing some hiccups because of the same people not following orders. However, my husband did say they were able to call this past Sunday because they were able to earn the privilege as a team. It also sounds from his letter that the members of Div 47 are slowly getting closer together. My husband even referred to his division as "family". Made me feel so proud!
I received a letter from my son yesterday. He knows your husband. He said everything is going ok. Unfortunately his bunk mate was ASMO'd so he was bummed about that. Very tired at night tho and the days are going fast! He's getting very good at Laundry PO! =)

So sad about his bunkmate! It sounds like they are all getting into their roles and really coming together as a team. It makes me so happy to hear they're doing well.

Beachmom, I am in Nevada. Last week, we received letters on Wednesday and Saturday. Nothing this week. I believe that this may have been their "Hell Week". If so, they have been unbelievably busy. But that still should not have affected their ability to mail letters out on Monday.

Hopefully tomorrow it will arrive.  My uncle who's only an hour away received his today, that made my day!  He's 90 and served in the Navy during WWII.

Beachmom, I hope you received letters today!

Hell Week is a very busy week and many do not have time to write, or may be too exhausted to on the weekend.  We have been told that the RDCs are not allowed to punish the SRs by suspending mail service to/from them.  So hopefully those not receiving mail from their SRs this week is just because they are so busy.

I believe their Hell Week begins Monday. When my husband called last Sunday, he said they were on DOT 2-5 this past Monday. So that means today was 3-5 and Monday is 4-1, the start of Hell Week. Someone correct me if I am wrong. I don't want to mislead anyone.
