For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 045 and 046
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

We met Kendra when she was waiting to board the plane for boot camp, when we were waiting for our son to leave. She left such a great impression on me and I can't wait to see her at PIR.

I'm looking for texasmom79. I can't figure out how to add "friends". I accidentally did it once, but don't know how! Also, my SR in Div 045 got an injury and missed most or all of Week 4, so will have to make it up with another division. Please pray with me that they will accept her for the short (hopefully) time she is with them, and that she heals and gets everything done in time to graduate.

Thank you for the prayers! She didn't pass the run, because her leg started hurting too much and she had to quit. She is not released from doctor's care for six more weeks, and they are letting her ice it and take ibuprofen. Unfortunately, not being able to run is not conducive to passing it while injured....
I did send you an email today saying I would be happy to write to your son. How is he doing?

It is obvious people have been praying!!!!!! she got to call yesterday, and told us the clinic gave her appoiontment incorrectly, so she got to do Marlinspike with her division! She was on LLD, but it still counted!!! I would write to your son if you think it would encourage him. She wasn't able to make it through the run and still under doctor care for 6 more weeks. In human math, she won't be able to graduate with the division. In God's timing, he can reduce her pain enough that she will be able to run before graduation.

Ho everyone, my daughter is DIV 046 Yeoman working under the Chief. We need prayers for healing as she has developed am abdominal hernia and needs surgery. Hoping she makes graduation with thos new development. She continues to serve her duty as Div Yeoman while awaiting decision.

Oh, how painful! Poor thing. Will she do surgery with Navy and will you be able to visit her? Hope this situation is remedied quickly and that you and she can have as little stress as possible. I know your heart strings are being pulled taut as mine feels the tug from you pain. Godspeed to both of you.

Hi Docj, I am so sorry your daughter needs surgery. She will be in my prayers for a fast and complete recovery, and prayers of strength for you. It must be really hard not being there for her. My daughter is also in Div 046, and is working under the Chief. She's in good hands.
