Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

When to get married during A School
Hello, my gf is going into the navy in Feb. After basic she goes to FL Pensacola. Her rating is a Advanced Aircrew Technician. The overall training before she's done we were told is anywhere from 6 to ten months there. We've been dating for three years before this and plan to get married so that we can be together during her contract. My questions then are, if any of you know how long training there for her rating really is that would be great, (her recruiter was very vague) and when should we get married before she gets her first orders so that I am on those orders. I've read that other people have had to fly over there to do a quick court room wedding since they couldn't get leave during training, and we are totally fine with that, we just want to make sure we are legally married in the eyes of the Navy before she gets her orders that way I can come along with her. The reason we haven't done a quick court room wedding before she leaves is that we want to play it smart and see if we can handle a long distance relationship first since we both know the Navy will be a lot of that. Thanks a lot in advance!

The recruiter is being vague because A school times can vary. There are hold times, and AEF has two different ratings with are two different lengths. Try to be patient and flexible. With a long school you can wait until he gets phase 3 liberty and can spend the night with you. Do not wait for leave after A school,you will miss being on the orders.
