Hang in there Monica! My son arrived Feb 23rd. You'll find others here who will post that their kids left the same day as yours. This website has been a lifesaver for me! Just breathe and read through here. You are not alone. We just got our letter yesterday and found out yesterday he'll graduate April 15th. And out of the blue today I got a phone call from him! He's all good. He needed some information I think for his background check, and they let him call. I didn't have all he needed, so he got to call his dad too! The first week has been hard, but last night and today made me feel much better. Everyone is here to help each other! Good luck!

Hi there Monica!  My son left on Monday, it is better today but I can breakdown on the spot at any given moment.  I'm sure it will get better with time but it hasn't been fun these past few days..  Can't wait to hear from him..

My son arrived in GL on 2/23...Graduation is April 15th. It'll be here before I know it. Hang in there and get to know this website...It has a plethora of information and so many people willing to help you out with information. Welcome Monica.

Welcome to the family Monica.  My son is halfway through his boot camp training.  This site will help you understand the do's & don'ts.  If you have any questions (ANY) just ask.  There are seasoned folks on here as well as new.  We have all been asking questions & we usually get answers pretty quickly.  Lean on folks if you have to, it does get a little easier as the weeks go by.  I will keep you in my prayers!

My son left March the 8th.  He is in  Ship 14 div 170.

Good morning! Thank you guys for allowing me to join this group!!! My son left for GL on Wednesday!!! It broke my heart to hear how scared he sounded on his phone call. I know as the days and weeks that pass I will have a million questions!!! So I might get alittle annoying so let me apologize in advance!!!
My prayers have helped me thru the last couple of days but my guess this group will help too!
Btw greetings from Saint Clair Shores MI!!
Hi! My son left for BootCamp on March 21st. Any idea of when graduation will be? He was unsure if we counted the first Friday... Thanks in advance!!
Looks like May 13th ;)

Melanie, yes, you count the first Friday. By counting 9 Fridays, PIR will most likely be 05/20/2016 for those who arrived on 03/21/2016. It could be 05/13/2016 for some if they are in a Push Division and were placed in one of the last divisions from the week before. It is possible for some who arrive on the same date to have PIR a week apart. Wait on The Form Letter to know the PIR date for sure. Arrival and What Happens at the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will let you know what is happening and what to expect.
