I just called to make reservations at the Navy Lodge.  Not knowing which date will be the PIR (daughter leaves May 10) I tried to book 2 different dates to be covered, knowing as soon as I get the form letter I can cancel one (at a minimum of 6 weeks prior to PIR).  the girl told me I can't do that.  They only allow for one reservation.  Has anyone else had that issue.  She transferred me to the supervisor who told me the same thing.  I have seen on this site several people that have done that with no issues.  I am a little frustrated with that place now already being stressed and then having them say I can't make two reservations ......  will they allow people to stay there if they do not have a child in Navy Bootcamp?  i.e. having someone else call and reserve in their name.  Otherwise does anyone know of another place close by that is nice that I can change reservations to that will allow for 2 different dates????

Tricia, do you really want to flaunt going against Lodge policy in a public forum? You don't know who is following this discussion. Just my 2¢.

I agree, if you're going to go around the rules, don't do it on a public forum.  This place is far from private, and not as anonymous as it seems.

We were told when we booked our room that if we needed to change the date to a different one we could.

Thank you.  I am just going to wait for the letter to come so I know the date for sure and go from there.  I was just trying to get ahead

I was anticipating  7/8 graduation and keeping my fingers crossed. I made Navy Lodge reservations for two rooms yesterday.  Just got a call today from my SR (no box or form letter yet!) that his PIR is 6/30. So I called Navy Lodge straightaway and changed the reservation.  I was worried they would be full already and there WAS a long wait as they said their lines were busy (all those other moms getting the same call this morning) but they were able to change my reservation no problem.  My son arrived at GL on Tuesday.
