My son swore in this morning and has landed in Chicago. Of course I cried. It was an amazing experience and I met the parents of another seamen recruit that was shipping today too and has the same rating as my son so they will go to A school together. So proud of my son. Miss him already and cried all the way home but no way was I missing that. 9 Friday's and counting.

My son left this morning also, from Massachusetts.  How do you know that he has landed?

He was texting from the airport. He landed there around 315 and didn't leave for the RTC until around 730. They waited in the USO until the rest of today's recruits got there. Received the scripted 27 second I'm here call around 830.

Oh my, 8:30?  I still haven't heard from him.  He left his phone behind, I hope someone will allow him to use theirs.

I'm sure they will. I heard lots of people talking in the background so have patience. It may just take a while. I had him tell me his flight number and watched it through flight view.com. So I knew when it landed before he told me but we talked while he was waiting for pickup. Im sure it will come soon. Good luck. Let me know.

I will.  Thank you.

Do you know what time he left from the airport? Maybe he is getting in late and going with a second group?

I just got my call!!!  He sounds good, if not a bit tired.  It was very scripted and short but at least now I know!  Stay strong, we will get through this together!

Great!!! Yeah very scripted and very short. Mine sounded tired and a little nervous.

Momof 2, Welcome to the next part of the journey. It is good that you met another mom who has a son with an MA rating. Perhaps your sons will be together. If not, they will be together at Lackland.

Justin'smom, Welcome to the next part of the journey.

Check your My Page.

Thank you!
