We're doing his Anchors Aweigh party tomorrow and I'm worried I'll be a mess. Really trying to keep it together for him but it's hard!

I made it through the party with just a few tears. Thank you for the words of encouragement. This is a picture from Saturday.
TickledPink, check your My Page.
What am I checking for? I'm still new to the site so I'm not sure what to look for.

Well, we thought he was leaving tomorrow but the recruiter called late this morning and said he was on his way to pick him up. I know it's just one day but we were supposed to go to lunch today for some one on one time before he had everyone over tonight to say goodbye and it's gone all sideways. We're all a bit upset but thankfully we have experience with the Navy so we know things like this happen. Doesn't really make it easier to say goodbye but now we start the countdown to graduation.
TickedPink, since you have indicated for a while that tomorrow is the ship date, then this is the norm and the recruiter should have let your future Sailor know that he would be picked up the day before (today) and spend the night at the hotel. You can eat dinner with him at the hotel tonight.
He took him to St Louis to swear in. Our understanding was tomorrow was supposed to be the day he left for MEPS, not Chicago. I wish I could have dinner with him tonight but, while it's only 2 hours away, I'm in a hectic time at work and can't take off to go up there. I saw him before he left and got my hugs in and told him how proud I am of him.
I'm sorry that the recruiter and your son did not give you the correct info. The MEPS date is the ship date. At least you were able to get those last hugs in.
