For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I have a question though @lemonelephant. His PIR is 5 August so while this starts his third week there, PIR is still 7 weeks away. I've been trying to gage what he is doing based on the Navy Boot Camp Timeline At a Glance site and since he has been there two full weeks already I assumed this was week three. Week one is in processing. Week two is confidence and week three is hands on. So I assumed he was starting hands on this week. However by that schedule he would have PIR 29 June. Since I know that's not the case he must be in week two. So did he do in processing for 12 days? Thanks for your help.

Momof2, by counting 9 Fridays from the date he arrived, 06/07/2016, PIR would most likely be 08/05/2016 and that is indeed his PIR date. Since he is in one of the first divisions in the 08/05/2016 TG he will be finishing his training in the week before PIR. Write to him and ask him to date a letter with the calendar date and DOT so that you can know where he is in the training schedule so you can follow along more or less using http://www.navydep.com/forums/showthread.php?t=433. (Remember that his schedule may not be exactly as that, but it will be close.) Also ask him when Battle Stations-21 (BST) will be so you will know when to expect the "I'm a Sailor!" call.
He most likely begins Week 2 DOT one day this week. Remember that the first week is P-days and does not count in the training days.
