There are 2 groups being adopted in November for Christmas. I copied the info from the MAS page so everyone can see it (& I will post in the RI Moms group).
FYI, no one has to go out and buy everything on the wish list. For new Mommas, just buy what you can afford to get. When we meet we will pool everything we've gathered and pack up as many boxes as we can.
Since this is going to be sent in time for Christmas, feel free to get anything for the holidays. Remember these sailors can't go out to the mall to get anything to make their time away special, but as Moms we can do that for them.
GROUP #1
The Engineering Department deployed on the USS Makin Island consisting of 50 males and 20 females. They do not have access to a refrigerator or a microwave.
Pillowcases are a "GO"!
Wish List:
Granola bars
Cookies
Sunflower seeds
Beef jerky
Shampoo
Body wash
Toothpaste
Deodorant
Feminine hygiene products
GROUP #2
This is a mobile Surgical Team deployed to Yemen consisting of 15 males and 4 females. Most of them are on their 1st deployment. They do have access to a microwave and a refrigerator.
Pillowcases are NOT allowed.
Wish List:
Instant oatmeal
Snacks
Beef jerky
Puzzle books
Playing cards
Gum
Shipping will be November 23 to 28.
I noticed that there are no Christmas cookies or items listed. Maybe we can put together something?
Feel free to leave comments in this discussion. We can make our decisions when we see how many Mommas will be able to get together.
AND LET THE SHOPPING AND SOLICITING BEGIN. (Remember, you can invite anyone to come with you and you can certainly feel free to ask for donations.)

Having trouble responding back to comments left earlier about a packing party! Website is not cooperating! I find this webs tie VERY difficult to navigate and it keeps asking me to sign in and then it does not take my info. Anyway - Donna - I work every saturday morning now until 1pm so not sure Saturdays would work! As for Sundays, depends on Patriots! We host Patriots football fantasy games……would have to ask the hubby about the game on the 20th! Who would attend besides Donna and Mindy? Have not heard from anyone else! Hope everyone is well! Wish there was an easier way to comment on this website! Hope all is well, let me know, Tammy
I'm in! Let's see how many more will be able to join us before we decide to postpone.
