Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

I received the box on Tuesday. That was difficult also. I cried when I was folding his clothes out of it. lol I never relalized how much I would feel like part of me was gone. And how much my routine has changed since he left. BUT I am so very proud of him and his decision!! The navy is lucky to have him ;-)

My son left yesterday 12/8 for boot camp and it was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I am so proud of him for this decision that he has made. As a mom, it is just hard to let our babies go from the nest. Got the call last night that he made it so that made me feel much better to know he made it there safely. Still tearing up off and on as I sit here thinking of him but it will get better with time.

My son left on Monday 12/5 for boot camp. He enrolled in DEP over a year ago and was supposed to leave on 7/5/16 but was delayed until this week. It was hard having him leave during the holidays. My husband had a much harder time with him going then we anticipated. A big concern for us now is if the weather will permit our traveling to boot camp graduation in February. We live in NC and my husband doesn't fly. I am very proud and looking forward to receiving that first letter. His rate is advanced electronics and computer field (AECF)

Hello! Our second son left Dec.5th for RTC. We received his box Dec.8th! Shocked by how quickly it arrived. ( We are about 5 1/2 hours South of GL). Anxiously awaiting the formal letter so we can plan our trek to PIR. We have another son that is active duty so we are familiar with the routine of boot camp but miss our second son. Best wishes to everyone's SR's and start writing/typing those letters!!

My son left on the 8th. I can't wait to get his box and letter. I'm worried about the trip up in Feb as well. We are in MD.
