For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Unless your bf is a E5 or higher you will not be able to live with him. He will have to live in the barracks and if he was one of those ones that are granted permission like 1 in a million even less likely cause he nuke he would not get BHA to live off base. You guys want to live together get married. Truth Navy comes first family second girlfriend 3 rd also Navy won pay to move you only him and being single and New whatever fits in a bedroom

After Power School, he will be going to Prototype, which is in either SC or upstate New York. Yes, all prototype students must live offbase, and yes, you can live with him for that time. Most students in this situation go in on houses together, so there is a chance he will have roommates.
When he does get orders after prototype, he might or might not be able to live offbase. This is when Michael's advice kicks in, E-4 and below must live on the ship or in the barracks, and will not get a housing allowance. If he gets orders overseas, you must be married to go with him, and even then there are restrictions based on paygrade.
