I am not ready for the empty house thing. We still have our daughter at home. She will start her junior year of high school this year. Our oldest joined the navy in the fall of 2010 so he is coming up on three years in. This is his first deployment and he has been gone since January 14th and scheduled to return sometime around October/November. How exciting to go to Japan to see your son! Our sons ship is stationed in San Diego and we live about 4 hours away so that's nice. We'll see where son #2 ends up!!!

Hi 4camps! Thanks for requesting me. I know our SRs have same PIR, but can't remember if they have same ship/div also. I think they do...I'll get on and look after. I opened my request first :) Are you going to be able to go to PIR? Where are you staying? I'm at Navy LOdge. I thought about someplace a little more upscale but then thought to myself, what am I thinking?? I can't afford anything more upscale haha! Thats ok. The Lodge has all good reviews...Talk soon!

Hi, sorry to have to PM you but I'm not very good at navigating the site :) but my son is ship 009 division 284 PIR 9/7. I've gotten everything I was supposed to get, the "I'm here" call, the box, the form letter and today my first real letter, thank God! Have you not heard anything? If you haven't, I'd contact the recruiter. Hang in there
Mom, I know it's hard. Hugs,
Beth
