OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

You may also want to join Destroyer Moms (DDG), HAWAII, and/or Pearl Harbor, HI. What is your Sailor's rating (job/specialty)? There may be a group for that as well.

Your last name is visible in the URL above and every time you post. Make changes 2 and 3 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link). There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.

Hi, do you have a recruit in boot camp or a Sailor in the Fleet?

You may want to join Girlfriends, Fiances, and Wives of Sailors.
