FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

A little about me:
I am a mother of 4, 3 girls ages 18, 17 & 8 and my son who is 25. My oldest daughter, Alexis, will be leaving for Boot Camp August 6, 2012. While we are very proud of her it will be hard to see her go.

The Fedex truck pulled up outside and I just knew it was our box from Alexis....I was sooo happy to get it but I am waiting for Cory to get home to open it....  Also, can anyone tell me what PIR mean…

Our daughter Swears in Monday, August 6 in Sac.  It is really starting to hit me hard. I am very proud of her and even though she is a pain in the butt sometimes, I'm going to miss her like crazy.

Hi JoAnna I have my little moments too. Cry as much as you need to. We're all in this together. I do miss our talks thats the hardest part for me. Writing letters helps me get thru the day. Stay strong before you know it PIR will be here! Take care.. :)

My son Patrick went in Aug.1st, BC. Heard from him that night. Aug. 7 Box came home.Then I knew, he's okay at this point. Then his Pir letter came home. Aug.10 with Graduation Information. Praying he okay and knowing he is. Now waiting after 3 weeks for phone call this weekend from him. My son ship 12 Div 312. Graduation Date Sept.28.

Hi. My son left for BC on August 6th as well. I know exactly how you feel. I got his box on thursday. Although I don't have his address yet, I write to him everyday. It helps me get through the day. I'm glad I found this group, it has been my lifesaver! I'd love to keep in touch with you. Who knows, maybe our kids are on the same ship and division. Be strong and hang in there!
