FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi CamyandRodsmom- my daughter arrived in Great Lakes Feb 7th also. She's ship 11 div 120 PIR 4/1/11.  Im sure I will have tons of questions for you : )

Thanks for the comment today regarding Div 302...One of those flag carrying recruits is my son. We are so happy they are making us proud! I copied your comment in my letter to him tonight to encourage them to keep up the good work!

Thanks CamyandRodsmom. I agree . . . I think it will help our kids to know that moms are communicating. I've kept that moto since the first sleep over ! It really does sound like we have a great group of kids. You might want to join the Discussion group I started in our PIR 8/6/10. It's Ship 14 Div 269. There's another mom with a daughter in there too.

Good morning CamyandRodsmom. I've run across another mom with a daughter in our ship & division. The mom goes by Red. I've invited her to join our group. I'm sure she'd love hearing from you (especially having a daughter). So far I've run across three young ladies in this division and no young men. I'm thinking my son is going to be in heaven if this continues! :)
