OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I got a letter today.  My son was very up beat.  He says the days are getting better everyday.  Passed his second PFA.  He says he is doing very well shooting also.  He said Marlinspike was fun.  He's a Nuke going to South Carolina for A School.  He said he would probably be a Grad & Go, leaving on Saturday and that kinda bummed me out. We'll be there the whole weekend.  He said it was good cause it would keep him out of trouble if he stayed the whole weekend!!  Little does he know, I know all the rules, and Dad & I would not let that happen! Ha Ha.

Sorry it's taken me so long.... I haven't been on here since 3/23.   I just try to keep myself busy since my son has left.  He's my only child and oh!!  I didn't get a call from him this week, but I got a letter.  He said this would be a busy week for him.

You say you live in Fairfield?  I live in  Tucson, AZ.  but...... I was born & raised in Tracy, CA.

I have lots of family up there.  I moved down here in 1987.  I fly into Sac. now & then to visit fam.  I know the whole area.  Lived in Stockton ( though I generally don't tell anyone) also, Roseville, & Lodi. Got a brother & a cousin in Jackson, another brother in Lodi, and lots of nieces & nephews and great ect. all over the place.
