For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

I'm thinking that 005/006 are probably 4-4 today (week/day). They would start week 5 on Monday.
I really want to, but it just depends what time we get there. My Mom may have to work in the morning Thurs and if she does we wont get in till after 8. But I really wan tto go to one. If we do I will go to the same one as you! I will keep you posted when we book our flight!

Thanks for the info. Your a lucky Mom to hear for your SR so many times =). I see you said your son had his 18th Birthday my Sister wil lhave her 21st birthday on the 20th. Kinda sad that they have to spend it in boot camp but hey its a birthay they will never forget.
Oh my Gosh congrats on the letter and the note!! That is soo great!! We have all family and friends been writing LOL almost daily, but no personal letters back yet.

Ya o know Ive been looking at Frountier airlines to Milwaukee its about $400 round trip. But once those Thanksgiving prices set in they go way up sometimes. lets just hop ewe getthere date soon and nothing changes in the mean time.

My lil sister arrived in GL 09.19.2012 also. My Mom hasnt got the "box" yet still waiting. Im just hoping to get the PIR date asap I would like to book our trip out there asap. With the Thanksgiving holiday being close the rates will jump up here pretty soon.
Jojo: my son left Aug.1 Called home 10:30pm (2230 hrs) to let us know there a box coming home in a few days. You hoping he write then, NO way. No iformation sent. Box came home Aug.7 Waiting, hoping,he would send something in the mail. I check every day and some days were let downs no letter. Remember letter are hopes and keep that thought. Our form letter came Aug.10. You see it'sonly a few days away fromthe box. The letter comes in regular mail. Keep in Touch with me.
