Hi Cindy....I just emailed you back but in case that didn't go though, yes I was so excited to get the call from my Sailor!!  He sounded great but of course tired, as you can imagine. How about your son? When did you get the call?  We'll be there very early Fri. am...how about you?

I'm glad you got your letter too today and that he also is doing great!  My son said he should hear soon where he'll be going, he can't wait either. That's great that your son will be going with a lot of the guys he already knows. I wonder if our guys know each other even though they're in different divisions?

You going to the meet and greet? Like I said if we do, we have to find a hotel that is pet friendly cuz there's no one to watch our dog anymore.  I would love to go, but I have to see.  Anyways, I hear ya!!  I am sooo excited for graduation and sooooo excited to see my baby again, I can't wait!!!  Yup we couldn't wait for him to go either and now we can't wait to see him!!!  Absence makes the heart grow fonder. I know for my Matthew the Navy will be the best thing for him.  I'm sure for your son too!!!  It's time he found his way!!!

Hi Cindy....thanks for the link.  My plan is to finally sign up on facebook tonight.  I just got home from work and am tired now.  Well I didn't get a phone call yet but my husband, myself and my mom all got a letter today and it put me in such a good mood!!  He sounds very upbeat and happy and says he's doing really well! Says he hopes he can call soon. Did your son call yet? I talked to one mom today at work and she said her son only called once after the first night they got there so I know it's hard for them to call. Anyways I can't believe only 2 weeks left, I know we all can't wait!!

He will see what he wants to go into after taking these classes for the 3 weeks at GL and then get placed at his base.....

That is cool!!!  I'm still confused as to what the apprenticeship program is, but I know he will stay at GL for 3 weeks, but not sure what he'll be doing there.  When did you know he'll be going to Pensicola?
