FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hey!  Saw your post about my son not being in Div 60 anymore...but he never was!  HA!  I'm a veteran mom...my son PIRed last Feb.  He was asmoed for a week when he went through. I just jump on the PIR sites to help those going through bc right now.  But thanks for the prayers because we sure can use those...anytime!  :-)  Good luck to your SR!

Well Kim, we are getting closer! When are you flying out and are you flying from Phila. Int.? Which airline? I am flying out of Phila. in the morning on US Airways. Wouldn't it be funny to be on the same flight? Which ever flights we choose lets just pray the weather holds out! Can't wait to meet you either at the hotel or at the meet & greet! I am so excited and can't wait to see our grads/ SAILORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Kim! The time is getting closer, have you heard from your son lately? When are you flying out? I am really trying to picture my daughter and what she will look like the first time I see her. I will definately have to wear waterproof mascara and bring lots of tissues! lol

My grandson just grad from Ill. and went to S.C. Said he loved basic, but missed his cell an Ipod. Write thats all he wanted letters. Getting homesick letters help. If not enough tickets still go, they stay at the motel with you, shop go out to eat, whatever, but are given rules.I didnt go but grandaughter said if she knew i could of went instead of being alone thanksgiving. S.C I will go for vacation with grandaughter. Write funny letters, make him laugh. I did but was crying all the while.After basic they will have there phone. Ill cry for 6 yrs.He was my tormenter.
