OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome to Indiana Justin's Mom's Website

Profile Information

A little about me:
I am the mother of Justin, a Yeoman on the USS Cole. Before joining, he put himself through Ball State University. He and his wife gave me my first grandchild (a little boy) on June 27, 2008

I also have a daughter, Kat, who graduated from Manchester College May 2007. Currently, she is working as a customer service representative at Wal-Mart. Her career field was English with a minor in journalism, while her brother majored in political science.

Justin is actually following a family tradition on both sides of the family. His Paternal Grandfather and Great Uncle served in the Military during WWII. My father was offered a chance to go to Annapolis, instead he remained in the Naval Reserves and went to Boston College, majoring in English, while he was a trainer and a commanding officer in the Reserves during the Korean Conflict.

My Paternal Grandfather served as a LT in the Army Medical Corps during WWI, my Maternal Uncles served as well, one as an LT in the Army, and the other one in the Navy (I don't know what his rank was.) My daughter wants to serve as well. I think it would be awesome, both my son and daughter are two of the strongest people I know. No matter what, they will succeed.
