Does anyone know anything about the changes made to IT School at Corry?
Gmom thank you! I’ll be sure to check it out.
Ljebur21 - Craig posted a document I the Cryptology group that gives a good view of the phases your sailor will be going through. http://navyformoms.ning.com/group/ctratemoms/forum/topics/craig-s-o...
Gmom, wow that’s exciting, congratulations to you both! Her PIR was March 16 and classes are supposed to start the very beginning of April. I know that I can’t say much either, it does look like a beautiful place though! She seems to really like it a lot except for a roommate who stays up late arguing with her boyfriend on the phone lol! Sounds like we might get to see her before too long! Whether we go there or she comes here we’re not sure about much yet!
Ljebur21 - I have a son, who is transferring over from another rating. Therefore, he went almost directly into class, instead of having to wait to class up, stand watches, and other preliminary things your sailor is probably going through if she is coming from Great Lakes. When was her PIR?
I don't think it is so much seeing that there is someone else active on the site, as in the particular group. The site has some very active groups. As for this group, it is possible that many stay away or only lurk because of OPSEC. My sailor could tell me nothing regarding his previous A school and assignments, and said he could say less than nothing for the new rating. So the fact that I heard there is a Sonic and a Waffle House outside the gate is a lot of news.
When I googled Corry Station, I was surprised that there was more official information for this location, compared to his previous station. Having the NAS so close probably helps.
Gnome, son or daughter? It’s nice to see someone else on this site, looked like 2015!
Lol, not a bad thing after Great Lakes!
My sailor arrived this weekend too. Enjoyed chapel. Said the answer to the question, what is there to do around here is, "Go to the beach."
Hi! My daughter just got to Correy Station this past weekend, so exciting, she seems to love it!
