No they dont..................they do try to maximize the number of people that can be off, they still have to meet all duty requirements and needs.

Thanks to all who commented on my question concerning the holiday schedule. He has ticket in hand and will be home for Christmas. We changed the wedding plans to the period in Jan/February that he will have (3 weeks) after C School graduation on January 19th. They will marry and then begin their life in Hawaii. What a fabulous honeymoon!!!!!! Happy Thanksgiving to all in case I do not make it back to this site before then. Your Sailors will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Congrats to all the graduates. My son has finished both A and C schools and went to his ship. We are proud as he graduated with Honors-he did not even tell us.

Congrats Brenda (sailor moon) on your son graduating and all the graduates tell him the moms here said job well done!!! Although I really do not post a lot I have to tell you I LOVE your picture it is always so pretty!! sounds kinda a goofy but I always know it is you even on another group. HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!!
Jammie with my son he had 2 choices #1 12/16 - 12/27 #2 12/23 - 1/3 he had to put in the paper work for which one he wanted. I may be off by a day but that is pretty close so Susan is right I hope this helps

I can tell you last Xmas when son was there for A/C schools...........they had from 12/19 - 01/5. The big however was he only was allowed to take a part of the time oof. I was either over Xmas or over New Years, they needed to keep enough bodies on site for duty needs. A quick look at the calender and I would guess that the dates will be very simaler.

Good afternoon all. I have just joined the group, after taking a bit of a hiatus after boot camp grad in March. It was all a bit much for me to take in. After my son announced his intentions late last year to join, his enlistment came way too fast. He has since completed A School (graduated #1 in his class...woohoo), and is currently scheduled to complete C School late January/early February. So, that's just a little background. Here is the BIG question that we haven't been able to get an answer to yet.......when is holiday leave (he chose Christmas over New Years). He got engaged to his HS sweetheart in July and a wedding WILL take place during his leave. With that time quickly approaching, obviously it is getting harder and harder to tie up these plans and still be able to do justice to him and his bride. Any info/advice would be appreciated. Make it a GREAT day everyone. -
