I see you have adjusted to being a part of the Navy family. I want to send you a belated thank you for the friend request. I have not resolve some minor difficulty with my N4M "addressbook" When I select multiple recipients, the friends who receive my message are not always the names I had selected. Typically, private messages are use for communicating issues that are more personal in nature, so for now I am adding friends only when someone is in need. You find me on a daily basis in the Safe Harbor & New Moms Stop Here group . Please join if you haven’t and we can talk there. BunkerBee

yes, I've gotten 2 letters now from James. We didn't get a phone call, but he was trying to call his girlfriend and might have been worried that he couldn't call both of us. That's ok, for now. :-) I can hardly wait till he is in school and can use his cell phone again. Just one more month till PIR for us! whew!

I forgot to tell you one more thing. lol We got our phone call in the fourth week I think, or end of third. I was do damn happy when that call came in. It was so nice to get the letters, and that was the time that he could say what was on his mind, and boy did he! lol He had some guys who did not care, and they were only there because it was a job. They would talk all the time and get them into trouble, which would cause extra pt. He wanted to kill them, but he got thru it and it make him even stronger. I like how it teaches people to work together.

It was hard to get everything done in the short afternoon that we had with him. I will advise you not to ask him too many questions when you see him. I was told by my son as were other parents that it was their time to relax for a few. I will tell you that they would rather their parents' get on them than their RDC's. (That is the person that they have to answer to, well one of them). He wanted to go to the Navy Pier, so we went there and took him to Hard Rock Cafe for lunch.

Thank you so much for writing me back. My son is almost done with his week 4 in school, so he will be earning more liberty and he will be able to have his own car now. We only got to see him on Graduation Day because they needed more room for new recruits. He had to fly out early on Saturday morning to go to his A school. He is in South Carolina now. He is getting amazing weather there, and I just sent him his civilian clothes. My son really missed his friends a lot, and he just met a girl he liked before he left and that was hard on him.

Welcome to N4M. Your key to adjusting is finding a group where you can feel comfortable and get answers to your questions – Click on the underlined links:
1. New Moms Stop Here group. You should think of this group as your orientation station. We do have a number of experienced members who can answer questions and point you in the right direction.
2. Depper’s… in but not yet . is a group for those just waiting for bootcamp to start (Delayed Entry Program – a depper)
3. Boot Camp Moms group. Is he/she already in bootcamp? Or just about to go in? This is the group.
4. OCS Graduate Moms or the NROTC Moms. For those going to be an officer or going to NROTC?
Read this blog to get a jump start on how to use the N4M site.
Welcome to New Members
Of particular importance is the use of the “Search” function. You should do searches in blogs, forums, discussions for answers in previously posted threads BEFORE adding a NEW blog/discussion. Finally, it takes time to learn how to use this site. Be patient. Check your page & status box often.
Best of luck, BunkerBee and AbbyblueOK (from the New Moms Stop Here Group)
