Click on OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) and the Page will open in a new window. Read the Page and follow the directions at the bottom to make change 3 (see the words in bold) so that this page is no longer visible to EVERYONE (Anyone) with access to the web. Don’t forget to click the “Save” button at the bottom.

There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.

Another change that I recommend that is mentioned in change 1 is to change the ZIP Code to one that is not easily associated with your Sailor.

There are no groups for the USS City of Corpus Christi, but you may find others with loved ones on that vessel in Sub Moms, HAWAII, and/or Pearl Harbor, HI

Yes I think that would be fun for her - she is 14 and I don't' think she has ever taken the train before. It is a great way to see the country between two points.

Syntia thanks for getting back with me about the train. I may go to Chicago on the train and then fly back home. I am keeping my step granddaughter so she can finish out this year of school before she moves up to Chicago with the rest of her family.

Loved the pics!  I hope one of my children tries for NROTC or something like that in school.  Hmmm, wonder how much he misses that full head of hair right about now? LOL

Hi there Syntia, did you get you call yet? I was so happy to hear my girls voice this weekend. It seemed to happen a lot earlier than everyone said it would, but maybe the Navy wanted to motivated our kids and let me get a good nights sleep for the first time since my gal left.

HI there Syntia, thank you for inviting me to be your friend on this adventure. Yes, like you I am an empty nester, its so tough. It sounds like you really love your son. I think what is so hard right now is that we can't talk to our kids! But soon you will get your box, then the letter, and I know soon a call or letter from our kids. I see that your from AZ. I lived in Goodyear for about 4 years in early 2001, worked at a swim school. So hang in there and know I'm here when you feel like sharing!

My son left for GL on Wednesday (1-30) from Albany, NY. We got his I'm here call at 3am. He said, "I'm here, you will get a box in about 2 weeks, and I can't talk long, I've already been yelled at, love ya bye". I don't think I got a word in. But at least I know he is there.
