She did't date the letter, so I take it as this Friday coming up.. I hope they all do well... She said she recieved some letters so that makes me feel better.. we took some pix, and sent them to her.. It made her day.... Hope you receive letters today..   God Bless

I didn't know what I.T. meant, so I called her recruiter, he told me that it meant intense training, that's why we haven't heard from them.. I didn't want to hear that, but she said there are some that don't want to listen, so they all get punished.. which is sad.. That's why they haven't recieved their letters yet.. I hope you get one tommorow!!  My daughter asked for me to send her stamps too.. talk to you later,,

Cathy -

I think that there is some intentional confusion about the correct addresses; we went through the same thing with Sean.  I think maybe the Navy was deliberately is trying to slow down the correspondence!

I read someone saying that on graduation there is little time to spend with the graduate.  We had about 5-6 hours, the afternoon, with Sean, but he was so into his new duties we could see that he was eager to get back to his Navy routine after celebrating with us.

I was so proud of him taking his duties so responsibly.  As you may know when they are teens/young adults, some of us worry whether they will ever grow up and take responsibility.  So I was very happy to see Sean becoming responsible about his duties.

We are so proud of him, he is still eager to learn his new posting.  He will go out on a long patrol soon.  Take Care - Peg

Welcome to N4M’s. This site is full of information, support and encouragement. My son graduated boot camp Jan 29, 2010 and is now stationed in Sicily Italy as an IT.

If your profile or profile name contains last name (even if it is different from your rct/sailor)your rct/sailors first name or your e -mail address, I recommend that you change it for the safety of your sailor. Remember, this is a public site and anyone can read comments posted here.

Be wary of who you friend…before you accept a friend go to their page and see how active they are, the comments left, groups they’ve joined. If they have a lot of friends but no groups, no comments, click ignore and DO NOT FRIEND THEM…it is likely they are spammers, e-mail address harvesting

If you are a DEPer:
Please join the group , (just point and click on the http address) there you will find new N4M’S as well as more seasoned N4M’s to guide you along.

Join this group read some of the discussions for good info

There is a group for each month rcts leave "Leavin for Boot Camp in (month they leave)" search groups and join this will have info as well as connect you with other N4M's whose rcts leave that month.

Once you get your PIR (Pass In Review=graduation)date…search groups and join the PIR group..if it hasn’t been formed yet YOU may need to form it.

Go to YouTube and search Navy Racks, boot camp, graduaton, Battlestations 21 (CNN does it)

Explore this site as well…Forums, Groups and Videos and check out the “Main” tab…lots of good info

My husband's family is from Elgin, and my mom-in-law worked at Elgin Watch Factory back in the day.

Hi and Welcome.

We are happy to have you on the Navy for Moms site.  You are invited to join either the Illinois or Missouri family page as listed below.  It is a great way to find families in your area and even help plan meet and greets. We also have some packing parties for our troops overseas getting together.

Looking forward to hearing from you in one of our groups!

Be sure and let me know if you have any questions!

PS.  Feel free to cruise my page and see if there are any other groups that interest you
