Congrats Miranda & Ryan on such a beautiful baby!! My daughter is having a little girl in about 3 weeks & my daughter In law is due in October! They don't want to know the sex of their baby, gonna be a surprise! I'm pulling for a grandson!

My son left Sunday 02/22/09 for boot camp
It was harder than I thought it would be, but I am so proud of him!! I got my 20 second phone call last night & cried, now I am waiting for the box...

Thank you for the friend invitation. Congratulations to Dustin on his recent PIR!! I'm sure you've already learned that there are alot of delays for sailors in Great Lakes waiting for A-School. My son, Billy was fortunate and got thru A-School before all the major delays started. He has been in San Diego since the first week of March attending C-Schools for IC's which will keep him busy until the end of Sept. and then he will report to his ship the USS Howard.

- I do feel so lucky that he is so close by. He will be off again in 7 weeks so I'm going to enjoy it while I can. I saw him today with 3 other guys, one from 160, 163 and 165. Great young men. I took them all to the mall to get their cell phones then to lunch. They all go off to all different places at the end of sub school. How is Dustin doing?

- Hi Terri! So glad to hear from you! It was great meeting you and your son. We had a great time! Where is Dustin now? Matt is in Groton in Sub School. I just found out that that is an extra school before he even goes to A school. So he will be there about 9 weeks then go to A school. I'm excited though because Groton is only about 40 minutes from here so I'm hoping to see him!

Ryan isn't going to be standing behind him at PIR anymore because section leader#5 got asmo'd and the new #6 section leader is a sliver taller than Ryan so now he's got the #5 spot (they go in order of height and he used to be the tallest section leader.) But that's good because now I get better pictures because no one is in front of him!

- Happy Easter to you too~ 3 days and a wake up til i fly out and 1 day and a wake up til we get our phone calls finally! Oh, and a possible Monday letter! Baby milestones - 'tis the only way to survive bootcamp!
