wow!  She sounds like an amazing woman with so much drive!  I think it's great that they have made this choice.  My daughter is almost 21 and had spent 2 years at a university, changing her major multiple times and only knowing that she wanted something to do with medicine.  She also came to realize that she wanted to travel, what a better way than to joing the navy and decide.  My head says that is the best for her, but my heart still aches knowing that I cannot call her or see her any time I want.  I just wish these 8 weeks would fly by;)

I am so glad to be able to talk to someone who has a daughter in the same stage as mine.  I just received my box today.  I seriously could barely open it, I was already tearing up.  When I looked inside, I saw her new sweater I had just gotten her right on top.  I just grabbed it, hugged it tight, and looked at her picture on the wall while sobbing.  I have to admit, I am glad no one was here to see me...I probably looked like a fool, but I just could not keep it in anymore.  I am just excited to be able to hear from her, that day cannot come soon enough.  So how old is your daughter?  What did she go in as?  Glad you commented, feel free anytime.
