Well, I FINALLY got a letter from Leon!!! It was short, but at least I got it!!! He called again Saturday morning, too!! He really sounds good! He says it's hard, but he seems to be enjoying himself!!! I knew he would if he really threw himself into it!! I know it's an odd thing to say about an 18 year old, but he really enjoys hard work!! Always has!!

He said he's "stick two"!! I haven't had a chance to look that up to see exactly what that means, but he says he's the short guy at the front!! LOL!!

He's homesick, of course, but with all the cards and letters he's getting, I think that's helping!! Besides my letters, he's received several from our church family!! We also got several cards signed in my Sunday School class and the youth group class that we're going to send out one at a time!! Now his brother wants to take a couple to the college class for them to sign!! Apparently several of them were asking about it yesterday!!

It's beginning to get a bit easier, dealing with him not being home!! I think mainly because we stay so busy that I don't have time to think about it, but also because I know that he's doing okay!! After that first "real" phone call, I felt a lot better about it! Now that I know he's doing well, I don't worry so much! Now if I can just get his youngest brother to sit still long enough to write him a letter!!! LOL!! You ever tried to get an 11 year old to write a letter???

Hi Kate. when is your son graduating from BC. My sons PIR is on nov. 14th and i cant wait!

He's scheduled for November 26!! We're not sure yet if we're going to be able to go though!! I really want to!!
