My son Tyler left this past Tuesday (8/11/15) for boot camp, and I am trying to adjust.  Being in the United States Navy is something he has wanted since he was 7 years old and I have always supported his goal and to see it start to unfold for him is amazing.  I am nervous for him, sad he is gone and excited at the same time.  The mix of emotions has me all over the place.. lol  As I am sure others feel the same way.  We are new at the military life and I am starting to realize I have a lot to learn.  Any pointers would be welcomed.  I do look forward to meeting other moms and sharing stories.

My son, Tyler, left the 12th. I am all mixed with emotions as well, I think its normal. He has wanted this his whole life. We come from a long line of military members covering all branches. However, growing up military gave me no preparation as what to expect with my own child. I worry about his emotions and if he's getting enough sleep, eating right, all of the momma worries. But, this has been a life long dream for him and I give my full support. Mommas need the support also, feel free to contact me here, looks like we are on the same bootcamp timing.

My daughter Samantha left on the 12th also. We are new to all of this too but trying to figure things out. Hardest thing is not having them here and not talking to them. I am sure they will all do great!
