Join the group, PIR 09/06/2013 TG 43 - 11 Divisions (331-340 and 943), to connect with others with loved ones training with your SR.  Divisions 331 and 332 are brother divisions and train together and will have Battle Stations-21 together, so look for others with loved ones in either division.  There is a discussion within that group for the two divisions.

You may also want to join, or at least check out, Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones), PIR Reference Information, and New Members Stop Here. There will be a lot of great information and support for you in those groups as well as in the PIR group. Be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) and Discussions within the groups. Arrival and What Happens at the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will let you know what is happening, but you will also want to check out the other Pages in all of the groups.

(Group names within this comment are clickable links.  To join a group, click on the group name and after the group page opens, click on “+ Join...” in the upper right.)

Hello, My son also left on July, 8th. He is in brother Div. on ship 12, 332. I have gotten a couple of phone calls and 3 letters. At first he felt like he had made a mistake ,  because he was told some misleading info at first , now he has made friends and even met someone in your sons Div,331 who happens to be related to his sisters fiance. He says he's changing & becoming very observant , he was that way naturally , so i can't imagine him being more on high alert than he was. He says the guys aren't fighting as much as at first, I guess they all have to learn to be their " brothers keeper" . do you happen to know how much free time your son will have after graduation ceremony?. We're in Va. & debating on getting this airfare together . I know he will be home for 10 days , following the 8 days he has to stay in IL. But I sure do miss him. He is the youngest of 4 and the last to leave the nest.

Hey T-Brax Mom -Dad,

My son will not be doing A school in Great Lakes so I'm not sure about his liberty yet. The last time I talked to my son he said that he still loves it, I sure hope so. Are you gona go to any meet and greets ? also if you have face book they have a page for Navy moms there too :)

Sunshine1994, If your new Sailor flies out to "A" School or training, then you will have from about 10:30 when Liberty is called until sometime that evening and then you can meet him at the airport and spend time with him. See PIR Day and Liberty During PIR Weekend within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) to help you know how to plan your weekend. I invite you to join Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and to check out the other Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) as well. What is your SR's rating (job/specialty) going to be? There are groups for most ratings and/or "A" Schools.

T-Brax Mom-n-Dad, your Sailor will be at GL longer than 8 days for training after BC in the S-PACT program. Since your SR has contracted within the PACT program, the information within Professional Apprenticeship Career Tracks (PACT) Program will be of interest to you.
