Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

No letter

Well , my son left on October 1st. I received his box and a phone call on Saturday ......but no letter.
He told me his PIR date is Nov 27th. But everyone else is getting their letters........how long does it take????
I will keeping looking in the mail box for my letter maybe it will come this week.

Comment by lemonelephant on October 16, 2013 at 1:28am: It is possible that he didn't send one or it went to another person or it was lost inn the mail. The Page, Letter Writing & Fun Stuff/Questionnaires to send to your Recruit, will have information for you on how to get the information within the form letter from him.

Join PIR 11/27/2013 TG 03 to connect with others with loved ones training with your SR. There are 13 divisions in that TG and only 3 guests are permitted to attend PIR.

Comment by lemonelephant on October 17, 2013 at 11:20pm: Your SR sends the form letter. It does no good to call the PAO about that. Write to your SR and get the info that is included in the form letter. There is info on that in the link I provided above. You can check the address you have against those in Ship/Division--How it Works.

Comment by lemonelephant on October 18, 2013 at 1:54am: New2Navy, if you get a real letter without receiving the form letter, then you will have the right address. If your SR confirms the Ship and Division number in a phone call, then you can go to http://bootcamp.navy.mil/contact_recruit.asp or Ship/Division--How it Works and you will have the right address. You would only need to reqest the info in the form letter if your SR has been at the RTC at least 2 full calendar weeks and you don't have the form letter or you receive a real letter without having received the frm letter.

Comment by lemonelephant on October 19, 2013 at 6:54pm: New2Navy, She has to be in the 12/06/2013 TG since you got the letter about Thanksgiving. Division 033 is on Ship 03, but so is it's brother division, Division 034, but it would not be an issue if you addressed the letter to Division 033 since they have Mail Call together. The other divisions in that TG are on other ships. It is still best to wait on the form letter, which should be coming soon. The other option would be to mail one letter and wait on the form letter before mailing anything else.
