The time is flying by, but we spent Thanksgiving with both my boys, wanted to make sure my daughter and I spent time with them before they leave for boot camp jan. I am going to miss my boys so so much I can't describe what I am already feeling. I know I won't hug one good bye before the other. Both will be hugged at the same time. : )

I am happy you got to spend Thanksgiving with your sons and hopefully you will have Christmas with them as well. It is good that they don't leave until after the holidays. I hope they are leaving on the same day and hopefully get in the same division. I know a lot of others have. It is an incredible journey. If you ever have any questions at all please feel free to send me a message. I am happy to help in whatever way I can. My daughter had PIR in July, she got married in Sept, during A-school and is now in C-school. Her hubby left 4 days after they got married to go to bootcamp and he had PIR Oct 29th. He is now in A-school and both are hoping to get to come home for Christmas. Man, what a roller-coaster ride this is.

I know all too well how you are feeling. Our son leaves Jan. 4th, boot on the 5th. I just can't seem to stop the endless tears. The tug is getting stronger as the date nears. I often wonder how on earth I'm going to manage the goodbye. I imagine on that day, we will hug our boys like no other hug before. God bless, and I'm thinking of you.

How did it go? The letting go part?

I cried. it was a little funny because my boys were so brave  on the letting go...and when they boarded the plane I received a txt from one of them. "at the airport..aaahhhh trying not to cry...."

it was meant for someone else that he had been txting...but i then knew all our boys when they leave will miss us to.  : )
