We didn't actually get graduation due to Timothy not passing a test on time. We got a call on Tuesday to say he passed he is now officially a E-3 Seaman and he will get liberty from 1600 to 2000.  So we made the 3 hour trip up to see him.  When I saw him standing in the parking lot I looked at him and thought "that kid looks like Jason (my cousin)" then my husband says "that looks like Jason" and then it hit me... THAT IS OUR SON!!!!  I was so excited!  I got out of the car and he ran across the street and I got the biggest hug I have ever gotten from him!  It was so great I never wanted to let go!  We went to the mall to eat and talk and just be with him.  I bought the "Navy Mom" clothes and I wear them with pride and beam and yes I will stop and tell you about my Navy son if you ask.  We had to drop him off at 2000 but it was the best 3 hours ever.  Timothy flew to Texas the next day for Corpsman school he is there now waiting for the section to start.  I miss him so much.  When our oldest son joined the Army I missed him too but since I had so many years alone it just being me and Timothy I miss him so much.

Yesterday was very hard to deal with.  It was Timothy's birthday and my first time in 21 years of motherhood to NOT be with my baby on their birthday.  I spent the day before looking for a blue candle to light for him and I found one after 4 stores.  Funny thing is that it was blueberry smelling and that is one of his favorites.  I burned my blue candle for my baby boy on his 19th birthday and missed him very much.

Fishmom23,

Thank you.  You just got me crazy excited because in 3 days I see my Sailor.  We've missed him so much.  He too is going to Texas for Corpsman school.  Gotta love our Sailors who just want to care for others.  God Bless you.  I'm praying for you.  I love your name "Fishmom23." We are a fishing kind of family :)

So glad that you were able to make that trip and see him in uniform, we know it was a proud moment for your son. Good luck to him at HM school.
