For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Wow... just ran across a story by another mom and it hit home. My son had been my buddy for 3 years when he was little until his sister came along and then the past 2 years it was just him and I as his brother moved out to join the Army. They all thought he was my favorite and in a way he is.. since we have so much in common we both love Kenny Chesney music and others and whenever Top Gun comes on he and I have to watch it. They think the little sister is my favorite because she is the only girl and the baby and she is (but as she becomes that horrid teenager she doesn't want to be around her parents). Tim and I did everything together from the drive to his school then me to work then off work to pick him up and home. We could talk about everything and nothing. Some days I wasn't sure he was even in the house until he wanted food. Our favorite place was the bookstore....... I walked into a bookstore about a week after he left for basic and when I was done shopping I went looking for him and then started crying in the middle of the store realizing he wasn't here. Some lady came up to me and asked if I was okay... after explaining to her about my boy leaving she hugged me and I thought I better get out of there before they called someone to get me. I hold my tears knowing that he wants to be a doctor and the Navy is the best way for him to do it and I will tell you that he holds his head high knowing he is out there doing something great for others and his momma stands behind him crying, waving the flag and bragging!
I have also become very active with Blue Star Families and Operation Santa and as we were out at the mall sewing stocking and getting cards signed for the troops a lady came up to sign a card and I told her I liked her necklace (it had a Navy theme with anchor and such on it)... she took it off there in the mall and gave it to me and I wear it for my son and think of her and thank her.
Lastly, when those letters come addressed to "Momma" I may cry but it is with PRIDE because I AM A NAVY MOM AND DANG PROUD OF IT!
