Christmas Eve. Supper, Midnight Mass, After party (we put baby Jesus in all the cribs and set up toys for kids, those that don't get wrapped) Bruch and then Oldest daughter leaves and we start cooking for my family Christmas (Dad and brother/sisters....) Supper.  Then 26th up and heading to Zoo (11/2 hour drive) to see eldest son and DIL and do the zoo, then zoo lights and back home. Then SADLY back to work.  But Navy family will be staying on for a few extra days so I can get Tahlia Lovin!  I'm already tired and sore. But smiling the whole time LOL

Anna being without power is a royal pain. I'm glad that you are back on the grid. Sounds like you made the beat of it and had a fun adventure. I'm with you on the hot tub!

Katski,

Welcome to the group - I sent you a personal welcome on your profile page.  Have you searched for Boot Camp Moms group.  That is usually where you can find others who may be in the same Ship/Div as your daughter.  Also, as soon as you get the form letter with the information on your daughter's PIR, you can find a group that have sailors graduating on that same date.  You may be able to connect with other new recruit moms that way.  Then come here and let us know all about you and your sailor.  We're here for the long haul!!!!

So I'm staying on Whidbey Island with Sailor Son and family.  He took wife on a cruise to Mexico and I stayed with granddaughter.  We had a storm come in on Thursday and several trees, telephone poles, and wires came down.  Didn't get power back on until late Saturday afternoon!!!  Took granddaughter to Seattle on Friday and treated her to a trip to the Aquarium, a ride on the Great Wheel, visit to Pike's Place, and spent a night in a really neat hotel.  They had a giant Gingerbread house in the lobby (made of real gingerbread and candies), and a Teddy Bear Suite!!!  My favorite place was the hot tub!!!!

Merry Christmas JayDee!  Family is Everything, anytime of the year.  Enjoy yours.  And dancing with Joy for your daughter and her husband to be together.

My eldest daughter and SIL will be in tonight before I get off work, (newly pregnant, lots to celebrate) hosting a reveal party tonight for aunts/uncles. My Navy family should be here by Sunday!!!!  I will have 3 of my 4 children and their spouses and children home for Christmas Eve and morning.  Let the Fun and Madness begin!  LOL  7 adults, 2 kids and 5 dogs  :) Fun time ahead, did I say it's been raining for 2 days.  We will ENJOY every minute!  Sailor hasn't been home for Christmas since 2006.
