I want to express my feelings but there is so much going on right now and I want to honor my son when my mind is a bit clearer. My son, Matthew James Bergman, will forever be the beat of my heart and my reason to believe in everything that is good and honorable. I hope everyone will bear with me as we endure his loss and I appreciate everyone who is offering support in this great time of need.

God Bless,

Melody Paxton

My thoughts and prayers are with you.  I am so very sorry for your loss.  Words cannot express what our family can only convey in this mere text. Thinking of you and your loss and Matt's service to our country.
