My son apparently made a mistake, I just found out this is the correct one. Anybody out there with someone in ship 3 divion 277?

Sorry it took me so long to reply. Chris said he's doing good. We just got his 2nd letter yesterday. In his 1st one he wrote that he was on the head crew. And that their instructor said they're better than any of the other ones out there. I'm so glad that I was able to find another mom here with the same ship number. So where are y'all coming in from?

Hey Donna, Chris got to call me last week sometime. Said he'd be able to call again on the 19th. He did tell me that he'll be going to Pensacola A school. I think he said he'll be leaving sometime Saturday, just not sure what time. And he said he has to report there on Sept. 4th. He doesn't really say much.

Are you remarried now? Chris' father and I are divorced and I've been married to a wonderful man for 11 years now. Kenneth (my husband) loves both boys and treat them both alot better than their bio-father who hasn't called them in a while.

We'll be looking forward to seeing ya'll at the meet & greet.
My son's best friend a part of Ship 3/Division 277. He is from Michigan. He also will be going to San Antonio. His name is John. I hope they have become friends, seems like they will be spending more time together. My son leaves this week (17th). He will be headed to San Antonio in October after PIR. So proud of them all. Hope its ok, that I joined this group. I do consider Johnny as my "other" son. :)

Yes, that's fine. It's nice to know that there are moms on here with kids or friends in the same PIR. I think my youngest is thinking about joining the Navy after high school. I know it'll be good for him and all the other kids, teaches them discipline & responbility.

And it is important that all us moms (the rock & glue) & "adoptive moms" : ) to be here with other moms discussing and learning together. Where is your son going after PIR? Do they get a couple of days before they have to report to A school?

My son goes to San Antonio as well for A school. He seems to think he'll have the weekend after PIR, however, I have read quite a bit saying that most likely they leave on the Saturday after. So one can only hope to get lucky enough to get as many hours as possible with our children before they move on to their new adventure.

Thank you for your kind words :)

Clinton Township, Mi... :) Enjoy PIR.
