Event Description

This is a Meet and Greet for families of recruits with a Pass-In-Review date of Thursday, May 27, 2010.

The Meet and Greet is sponsored by the Ramada Waukegan-Gurnee as a service to the families of recruits, and occurs on the evening prior to their graduation. Families of recruits in all divisions are welcome to attend, whether or not you're staying there.

The time is 6:00-8:00 PM, and free, hot hors d'oeuvres will be served. For guests registered at the Ramada, you will be given complimentary drink tickets, 2/room (not 2/guest). A cash bar will be available for non-registered attendees. The Ramada will also provide name tags, so we won’t be overly-taxed trying to remember the names of all our new friends!

If you are planning to attend, please RSVP and leave a comment below with the number you’ll have attending. We need to get an estimated head count to the Ramada by Tuesday, May 25th.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Lori: Dont' know if you have Internet access or not, & not sure when your lane lands, but we're on our way. We'll be a little later than I'd hoped, but still before the M&G.
We just got the "I'm a sailor" call, too!!!

I thought that I should post that my husband got called into work unexpectedly. Our plans for leaving this evening and driving through the night look less possible now. I'll keep you posted, but I'm thinking that we won't be arriving at the Ramada until about 5:00 PM. I'll post again if anything changes.
(OK--that was three things that went against my best-laid plans now. Think I'm done with surprises?)

Lori, I'd try to carry on the flowers if you can. If they wont let you take the pins, Let me know and I'll stop and buy some.

I posted on the PIR site but just in case- don't forget to print out and bring your parking pass- even if you are not driving you will need it to get on the base.
Goodnight Ann and sleep well.

OK ladies, this is my last post of the evening. Put out a couple of fires, and...how does the saying go? The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak? No stamina yet. Off to catch some zzzs, and up to a fresh start in the morning.
Please send me a message to the inbox if there's anything I'll need to know or if I should bring anything in particular. (I probably won't have time to read all the message posts.) Thanks, and see you all very soon now!
